help fixing 515 surround

so I got a pair of A7 cabinets (825) and 515,s in a recent trade for a pair of 1590 series amps....

one of the 515,s has a small (less than 1") portion of the cloth surround that has come unattached from the cone. there is also a slight tear in the surround (about 1/8" going from the edge of the seperation toward the frame)

is it possible to fix this myself?
what are my options?

I have a 414 that has a puncture in the Surround, I am curious how this will impact the sound / performance.

A tear in the surround allows a portion of the rear wave to come around and cancel out the front's output over some BW (dipole response) and consequently destroys the cab's alignment, so a sealed cab becomes a severely misaligned vented cab and a vented cab's Fb rises dramatically.

I use bookbinding PVA glue for most driver repairs. For the accordion surround, cut a small patch out of an old pair of nylons, use a hair dryer to heat up the impregnating 'goo', dab the patch on, 'burying' it as best you can. Normally, there's some excess that's 'puddled' at the bottom that you can heat up and smear over the patch to ~completely hide it.
